ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ 4 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਕੇਲ ਕੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾ ਪਰ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੁੱਲ 66 ਚਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਰੌਣੀ ਕਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਥਾਣਾ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਗੱਗੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਕਿਲਾ ਭਰੀਆ ਥਾਣਾ ਲੋਗੋਵਾਲ ਜਿਲਾ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਰਵ ਕੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 02, ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਹਿਰੋਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾ ਤੇ ਨਕੇਲ ਕੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਹੀਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਕੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਲਾਉਣ, ਟ੍ਰਿਪਲ ਰਾਈਡਿੰਗ, ਗਲਤ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਣ, ਬੁਲਟ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਇਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਡੀਫਾਈਡ ਸਲੈਂਸਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 66 ਚਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਲਾਹਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੇਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਜਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੰਬਰਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਸਤੂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 112 ਪਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Rupnagar Police has arrested 4 drug addicts and in addition to this, in view of the festivals, in order to maintain law and order and to tighten the noose on bad elements, checking was done by setting up roadblocks at various places in the districts and taking action against those violating traffic rules, a total of 66 challans were issued.
SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana while giving further information said that in continuation of the “War on Drugs” campaign, the district police checked drug smugglers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at various places.
During which, Mandeep Singh, a resident of village Rauni Kalan, was arrested by Sadar Morinda police station, Gaggi Singh, a resident of village Qila Bharia, Longowal police station, Sangrur district, and Gaurav Koshal, a resident of ward number 02, Mohalla Fatehgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, were arrested by Kiratpur Sahib police station, and Iqbal Singh, a resident of village Mehroli, was arrested by Sri Anandpur Sahib police station and cases were registered against them under the NDPS Act. In which further action is being taken.
Who further said that in view of the festival, special blockades were made at various places by the district police to maintain law and order and to tighten the noose on bad elements. During which, suspicious persons and vehicles are being checked continuously.
Apart from this, taking action against those who violate traffic rules, a total of 66 challans were issued by the Traffic Police, Rupnagar, for drunk driving, triple riding, obstructing traffic by wrong parking, using modified silencers in bullet motorcycles and other traffic rule violators.
SSP Rupnagar appealed to the public to fully cooperate with the police to eliminate the menace of drugs and if any person in their area is involved in drug trafficking/smuggling, then his information should be shared on Safe Punjab Anti-Drug Helpline Number 97791-00200 (WhatsApp Chatbot) or the District Police number and to provide information about any suspicious person and object, information can be shared on the helpline number 112. The name and address of the informant will be kept confidential.
