ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁੱਕਦਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 19 ਕਿਲੋ 600 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਡੋਡੇ ਚੂਰਾ ਪੋਸਤ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਵੱਲੋ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋ 01 ਦੇਸੀ ਪਿਸਟਲ/ਕੱਟਾ ਸਮੇਤ 01 ਜਿੰਦਾ ਰੌਂਦ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸਲਾ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਮਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ 2 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੋ 191 ਪੈਟੀਆਂ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੂਰਪੁਰਬੇਦੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਅਭਿਸ਼ੇਕ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੜਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਝਿੰਜੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 19 ਕਿਲੋ 600 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਡੋਡੇ ਚੂਰਾ ਪੋਸਤ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਦੀਪਕ ਬੰਨਬੰਸ਼ੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਆਈਲਿਆ, ਥਾਣਾ ਚੰਦਬਕ ਜਿਲਾ ਜੋਨਪੁਰ (ਯੂ.ਪੀ) ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਕਸੋਰੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਗੰਗੀਰੀ ਜਿਲਾ ਅਲੀਗੜ (ਯੂ.ਪੀ) ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਪਾਸੋ 191 ਪੈਟੀਆਂ ਨਜਾਇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਕਸਾਇਜ਼ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਖਬਰ ਖਾਸ ਨੇ ਇਤਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਰਮਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਰੋਡ ਨੰਗਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਥਲੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਨਿਆਨਗੋਲਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਟੇਕਾ ਪੱਤੀ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਹਾਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਸਬਜ਼ੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਨੰਗਲ ਪਾਸ ਇੱਕ ਦੇਸੀ ਪਿਸਟਲ/ਕੱਟਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਾਰਦਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜ਼ਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਲਈ ਨੰਗਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੋ 01 ਦੇਸੀ ਪਿਸਟਲ/ਕੱਟਾ ਸਮੇਤ 01 ਜਿੰਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਅਸਲਾ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੇਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਾ ਵਸਤੂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 112 ਪਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Rupnagar District Police arrested a drug addict in various cases of NDPS Act and arrested one person and recovered 19 kg 600 grams of crushed poppy from him. Apart from this, two persons were arrested by Nangal Police Station and recovered 01 country-made pistol/katta along with 01 live round from them and a case was registered under the Arms Act and 2 persons were arrested by Kiratpur Sahib Police Station and 191 boxes of illicit liquor were recovered from them.
Giving further information, SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana said that in continuation of the “War Against Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug smugglers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at various places. During which, the police station Noorpurbedi arrested drug addict Abhishek, resident of village Barwa, and arrested Sharanjit Singh, resident of village Jhinjri, and recovered 19 kg 600 grams of crushed poppy seeds from him and cases were registered against them under the NDPS Act.
Apart from this, the police station Kiratpur Sahib arrested Deepak Banbanshi, resident of village Ailiya, police station Chandbak, district Jaunpur (UP) and Akash Kumar, resident of village Kasori, police station Gangiri, district Aligarh (UP) and recovered 191 cases of illicit liquor from them and a case was registered against them under the Excise Act.
The SSP further informed that the police party of Nangal police station was informed by the informant that Raman Kumar resident of Railway Road Nangal and Mithlesh Kumar Yadav resident of village Niangola, police station Teka Patti, Bihar Hall, resident of Sabzi Mandi, Nangal have a country-made pistol/katta and are coming towards Nangal city to commit some crime. Those who were arrested by the police party of Nangal police station after blocking the road were recovered along with 01 country-made pistol/katta and 01 live bullet and a case was registered against them under the Arms Act.
SSP Rupnagar appealed to the public that if any person is involved in drug trafficking/smuggling in their area, then their information can be shared on Safe Punjab Anti-Drug Helpline number 97791-00200 (WhatsApp chatbot) and to provide information regarding any suspicious person or item, the information can be shared on helpline number 112. The name and address of the informant will be kept confidential.
