ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 15 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਤੋ ਵੱਧ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਕੇਲ ਕੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾ ਪਰ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੁੱਲ 127 ਚਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਘਨੋਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿੰਡ ਹੰਬੋਵਾਲ ਥਾਣਾ ਮਾਛੀਵਾੜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਲ ਬਲਦੇਵ ਨਗਰ ਮੌਰਿੰਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 15 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਤੋ ਵੱਧ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਕੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਲਾਉਣ, ਟ੍ਰਿਪਲ ਰਾਈਡਿੰਗ, ਗਲਤ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਣ, ਬੁਲਟ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਇਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਡੀਫਾਈਡ ਸਲੈਂਸਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 127 ਚਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

District Police arrested a person under various sections of the NDPS Act and recovered more than 15 grams of narcotic powder from him. And another person addicted to drugs has also been arrested. Apart from this, in view of the festivals, in order to maintain law and order and to tighten the noose on the bad elements, in which various checkpoints were checked and action was taken against those violating traffic rules, a total of 127 challans were issued.
SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana while giving information said that Jaspal Singh, a resident of village Ghanola, was arrested by the Sadar Rupnagar police station and Manpreet Singh, a resident of village Hambowal, police station Machhiwara Sahib, district Ludhiana, was arrested by the City Morinda police station and more than 15 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from him and cases were registered against him under the NDPS Act. In which further action is being taken.
Apart from this, taking action against those who violate traffic rules, the Rupnagar traffic police, taking action against those who violate traffic rules, issued a total of 127 challans for drunk driving, triple riding, obstructing traffic by wrong parking, using modified silencers in bullet motorcycles and violating other traffic rules.
