ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਤਹਿਤ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਦਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ 1 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 3 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ 150 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਫੀਮ ਅਤੇ 20 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ/ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੇਕਟ ‘ਸੰਪਰਕ’ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਆਮ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ-ਪਬਲਿਕ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਵਧਾੳਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੂਰਪੁਰ ਬੇਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਨੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੈਟਰਲ ਬੈਂਕ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੂਰਪੁਰਬੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 150 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਫੀਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਗਵੰਤਪੁਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗੁਲਜਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਾਮਪੁਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ 15 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਥਾਣਾ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਜਤਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰ 02. ਫਤਹਿਗੜ ਮਹੱਲਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 05 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 06 ਨੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੇਕਟ ‘ਸੰਪਰਕ’ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗੂਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ-ਪਬਲਿਕ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਜਟਿਡ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਅਫਸਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਵਲੋ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪ ਲਾਇਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਵੀ ਲਏ ਗਏ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਲਾਹਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੇਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਜਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੰਬਰਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Under the campaign “War Against Drugs” being run by Rupnagar Police against drug traffickers and anti-social elements, 1 person addicted to drugs was arrested in various cases of NDPS Act and 3 persons were arrested and 150 grams of opium and 20 grams of narcotic powder/substance were recovered from them.
Apart from this, in the continuity of Project ‘Samprak’, meetings were held in different villages by the District Police to make the general public aware about the ill effects of drugs and to increase police-public coordination.
Giving further information in this regard, SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana said that in the continuity of the “War Against Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug traffickers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at different places. During which, Police Station Noorpur Bedi arrested Vinay Kumar son of Ravinder Kumar, resident of Central Bank of India, Noorpur Bedi and recovered 150 grams of opium from him, Police Station Singh Bhagwantpur arrested Baljinder Singh son of Guljar Singh, resident of village Rampur, Police Station Sadar Kurali, District SAS Nagar and recovered 15 grams of narcotic powder from him, Police Station Kiratpur Sahib arrested Jatinderpal Singh son of Tejinder Singh, resident of village Ward No. 02, Fatehgarh Mahalla, Sri Anandpur Sahib and recovered 05 grams of narcotic powder from him and Police Station Nangal arrested drug addict Rahul son of Surinder Kumar, resident of Ward No. 06, Nangal and cases were registered against them under the NDPS Act.
