ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਤਹਿਤ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਦਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ 03 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਆਮ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਾੜਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਕਮਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੜੀ ਮਕੋੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਪੱਪੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਚਤਾਮਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਮਕੋਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਵਾਸੀ ਡਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗੂਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ-ਪਬਲਿਕ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਜਟਿਡ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਅਫਸਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਵਲੋ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨਦੇਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਲਪਕ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਲਾਹਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੇਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਜਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੰਬਰਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Under the campaign “War Against Drugs” being run by Rupnagar Police against drug traffickers and anti-social elements, the District Police arrested 03 drug addicts in a case under the NDPS Act and the District Police conducted awareness seminars to make the general public aware of drugs and not to burn stubble.
While giving information in this regard, SSP Rupnagar said that in the continuation of the “War Against Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug traffickers and bad elements through blockades and patrols at various places. During which, drug addict Kamaldeep Singh resident of village Badi Makori, was arrested by Sadar Rupnagar police station, drug addict Pappu Singh resident of village Chatamla, was arrested by Sadar Morinda police station and drug addict Harvinder Singh, resident of Dahar, was arrested by Sri Chamkor Sahib police station and cases were registered against him under the NDPS Act.And a case was registered against him under the NDPS Act and with the aim of making the general public aware about the ill effects of drugs and further increasing police-public coordination, meetings were held by Gazetted Officers and Chief Officers of Police Stations in various villages in the district and they were informed about the Punjab Anti-Drug Helpline and about the harmful effects of stubble burning and they were encouraged to adopt alternative methods of stubble management.
SSP Rupnagar appealed to the public to fully cooperate with the police to eradicate the menace of drugs and if any person is involved in drug trafficking/smuggling in their area, then their information should be shared on Safe Punjab Anti-Drug Helpline No. 97791-00200 (WhatsApp Chatbot) or the District Police number. The name and address of the informant will be kept confidential.
