2 ਬਲੈਰੇ ਪਿੱਕਅਪ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਕਸਾਇਜ਼ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ

ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਦਮਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਅਜਬ ਖਾਨ ਵਾਸੀ ਨਿਕੂ ਨੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੇ 255 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ 2 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ 283 ਪੇਟੀਆ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਸਮੇਤ 02 ਬਲੈਰੇ ਪਿੱਕਅਪ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਕਸਾਇਜ਼ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਜੋਬਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਜੱਬਦਾ ਕਲਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੈਰੋ ਜਿਲਾ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੇ 255 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਅਜੂਬ ਖਾਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਕੀਲ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਨਿੱਕੂ ਨੰਗਲ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਐਕਸਾਇਜ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਹੀਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਵਾਂਸ਼ਹਿਰ (ਐਸ.ਬੀ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ) ਸਾਈਡ ਤੋਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਲੈਰੋ ਪਿੱਕਅਪ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਕਕੇ ਚੈੱਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋ ਕੁੱਲ 283 ਪੇਟੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਹੋਈਆਂ। ਜੋ ਮੌਕਾ ਪਰ ਰੰਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਉਰਫ ਬਟਲਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਾਧੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਮਦਮ ਥਾਣਾ ਰਾਣੀਗੰਜ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਪਰਤਾਪਗੰਜ ਯੂ.ਪੀ. ਵਾਸੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਹਰੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਰਭਾਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਗਲੀ ਨੰਬਰ 15 ਨਿਊ ਸ਼ਿਮਾਲਪੁਰੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾਪੁਰੀ ਤਪਾ ਰੋਡ ਜਿਲਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਪਾਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਾਬ ਰੱਖਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਿੰਟ/ਲਾਇਸੰਸ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਇਸੰਸ/ਪਰਮਿੰਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਐਕਸਾਇਜ਼ ਐਕਟ ਰਹਿਤ ਮੁਕਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਤਫਤੀਸ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

District Police arrested drug addict Ajab Khan resident of Niku Nangal in various cases of NDPS Act and arrested Harbans Singh resident of Tarn Taran and recovered 255 grams of narcotic powder from them. Apart from this, 2 persons were arrested and recovered 283 boxes of liquor along with 02 Blair pickup trucks and a case was registered against them under the Excise Act.
SSP Rupnagar while giving information said that in continuation of the “War on Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug smugglers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at various places. During which, Sadar Morinda police station arrested Joban Singh son of Harbans Singh, resident of village Jabbada Kala, police station Kairo, district Tarn Taran and recovered 255 grams of narcotic powder from there and Nangal police station arrested drug addict Ajub Khan son of Skeel Mohammad, resident of village Nikku Nangal, police station Nangal and registered cases against him under the NDPS Act.Giving further information,
he said that the Excise Department and the police party of City Rupnagar police station were jointly checking suspicious men and vehicles by making a blockade, then during the checking, Bolero pickups were seen coming from Nawanshahr (SBS Nagar) side, which were stopped and checked on suspicion. Out of which a total of 283 boxes of liquor were recovered. On the occasion, Rang Bahadur alias Butler son of Radhe Syam resident of village Damdam, police station Raniganj, district Partapganj, UP, resident of Shanti Nagar, police station Sahnewal, district Ludhiana and Jaspreet Singh alias Hari son of Harbhag Singh resident of street number 15, New Shimalpuri, police station Shimalpuri, Tapa Road, district Ludhiana were asked to produce the permit/license for keeping large quantities of liquor in their possession. Those who could not produce any license/permit were arrested and a case was registered under the Excise Act and further investigation is being carried out.
