ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਤਹਿਤ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁੱਕਦਮਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ 03 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 2 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋ 05 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਫੀਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਦਰਜ਼ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਗਵੰਤਪੁਰ ਵਲੋ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਰਾਮ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਜਾਰਾ, ਥਾਣਾ ਨਾਲਾਗੜ, ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸੋਲਨ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਨੀ ਰਾਮ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੈਹਲੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਨਾਲਾਗੜ, ਜਿਲਾ ਸੋਲਨ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋ 5 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਫੀਮ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀਆਨ ਭੇਜੇ ਮਾਜਰਾ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੂਰਪੁਰਬੇਦੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਝਿੰਜੜੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਨੂਰਪੁਰਬੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਦਰਜ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਨੰਬਰ 134/2025 ਮਿਤੀ 02.06.2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਜੱਠੂ ਨੰਗਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੇਕਟ ‘ਸੰਪਰਕ’ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਦੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗੂਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ-ਪਬਲਿਕ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਜਟਿਡ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਅਫਸਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਵਲੋ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਵੀ ਲਏ ਗਏ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਲਾਹਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੋਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਜਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੰਬਰਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Under the campaign “War on Drugs” being run by Rupnagar Police against drug traffickers and anti-social elements, the District Police arrested 03 drug addicts in various cases under the NDPS Act and arrested 2 persons and recovered 05 kg of opium from them and arrested the person wanted in an old case registered under the NDPS Act.
SSP Rupnagar Gulnieet Singh Khurana while giving further information said that in continuation of the “War on Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug traffickers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at various places. During which, by Thana Singh Bhagwantpur, Bittu Ram Rajinder Pal of village Majara, Thana Nalagarh, District Solan Himachal Pradesh and Dhani Ram son of Atma Ram of village Baihli, Thana Nalagarh, District Solan Himachal Pradesh were arrested and 5 kg of opium was recovered from them and in addition, by Thana Sri Chamkaur Sahib, drug addicts Harvinder Singh son of Gurmeet Singh and Sarabjit Singh son of Jarnail Singh, residents of Majra, Rupnagar were arrested and by Thana Nurpurbedi, Nihal Singh son of Ranjit Singh, resident of village Jhinjri, Police Station Nurpurbedi was arrested and cases were registered against them under NDPS Act. In addition, by Thana City Rupnagar, NDPS Success was achieved in arresting Balwinder Singh, resident of Jathu Nangal, Amritsar Sahib, who is wanted in case No. 134/2025 dated 02.06.2025 registered under the Act and other sections.
