ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ 2 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 10 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਤੋ ਵੱਧ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਖੀ ਗੁਲਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ” ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਰਾਂਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਮੋਨੂੰ ਉਰਫ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਖਤਰ ਅੰਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਕਿਰਾਏਦਾਰ ਰਾਜੂ ਸਤਿਆਲ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਚਾਰ ਹੱਟੀਆਂ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋ 10 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਤੋ ਵੱਧ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਕੁਲਭੁਸ਼ਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਗੰਮਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਜੈਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਾਮ ਪਾਲ ਜੈਸਵਾਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਿਉਲੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਗਗਰੇਟ ਜਿਲਾ ਊਨਾ (ਹਿ:ਪ੍ਰ) ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਮੁਕਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਅਨਸਰਾ ਤੇ ਨਕੇਲ ਕੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਹੀਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵਲੋ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਲਾਹਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਸਕਰੀ/ਸਮੱਗਲਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਸੇਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਂਟੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਨੰਬਰ 97791-00200 (ਵਟਸਐਪ ਚੈਟਬੋਟ) ਜਾ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੰਬਰਾ ਪਰ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Rupnagar District Police arrested 2 drug addicts in various cases of NDPS Act and arrested one person and recovered more than 10 grams of narcotic powder from him. District Police Chief Gulneet Singh Khurana while giving information said that in continuation of the “War Against Drugs” campaign, the District Police checked drug smugglers and bad elements through roadblocks and patrols at various places. During which, Monu alias Mitha son of Akhtar Ansari resident tenant Raju Satyal Mohalla Char Hattian Rupnagar was arrested by the Police Station City Rupnagar and more than 10 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from him. Apart from this, police station Sri Anandpur Sahib arrested drug addict Kulbhushan son of Arjan Singh, resident of village Agampur, and police station Kiratpur Sahib arrested drug addict Ankur Jaiswal son of Ram Pal Jaiswal, resident of village Deoli, police station Gagret, district Una (H:P) and registered cases against them under NDPS Act.He further informed that special blockades were made at various places to maintain law and order in the district and to tighten the noose on the bad elements. During which suspicious persons and vehicles were checked.SSP Rupnagar appealed to the public to fully cooperate with the police to eliminate the menace of drugs and if any person is involved in drug trafficking/smuggling in their area, then their information should be shared on Safe Punjab Anti-Drug Helpline number 97791-00200 (WhatsApp chatbot) or the district police number. The name and address of the informant will be kept confidential.
